My personal style has changed dramatically since switching from an office job to working from home. Since part of my job is cooking and photography, I need a comfortable pair of shoes, easy to wash clothing and delicate jewelry that won’t get in my way. T-shirts and jeans are my go-to because if it gets covered in flour or meat juice it’s easy to throw in the wash. There’s no worry about ruining an expensive piece of clothing when you keep it simple.
I know it’s fall but I live in San Diego so sandals are still my shoe of choice in the kitchen. They are comfy and easy to slip on and off. There are a few months out of the year that I switch out the sandals for ballet flats or loafers.
I’ve talked about my love of delicate jewelry before but when you are cooking, it’s important to wear simple jewelry that won’t get in the way. You don’t want your chunky bracelets to end up in a marinade.
